2nd Annual Tough Like Tommy Benefit

Hello and happy March! We're very excited to announce this year's upcoming fundraising event. Similar to the event we hosted last year, this will also be hosted at Rifici's restaurant in Absecon on Sunday, May 17th, from 1pm to 4pm. There will be food, live entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and the event will be for the whole family. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event, or purchased in advance using the link below;

As for the first event, it was very successful, allowing us to attend three additional 2-week DMI intensives (in April. September, and January! We were also able to get Tommy a bath chair and other assistive equipment that either was not covered by insurance, or needed to be covered through a repayment plan after purchasing out of pocket. As parents, we cannot thank you enough for taking time to follow along with Tommy's journey. The donations, the love and support, bringing awareness to the situation, and all of the volunteer work has been such a blessing while we've navigated this chapter of our lives. Please continue to follow along and share Tommy's story. You are truly helping to make a difference in this young boys life.

Additionally, March is cerebral palsy awareness month, so there's no better time than now to refresh your understanding of the single most common childhood motor disability (in the United States, and worldwide), affecting one in every 345 children born in the US (or more than three out of every 1000 births worldwide). A large law firm specializing in cerebral palsy cases generously offered to share a toolkit designed to help break down what cerebral palsy is, and how it affects someone with the condition. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself using the link before, if you have not already. The more knowledge out there, the better prepared we will be to accept, embrace, and support those who have been diagnosed.
